Overview
The ASE broadband light source is a core broadband low-coherence optical device used in fiber optic gyroscopes (FOGs), fiber optic current transformers (FOCTs), and distributed fiber optic sensing systems. Through precision spectral shaping, closed-loop APC automatic power control, and PID precision temperature control, it delivers a Gaussian-like symmetrical broadband spectrum. This significantly reduces coherent noise in the sensing optical path, minimizes phase errors, and ensures high scale-factor stability and low bias drift in inertial sensing systems.
Manufactured with mature batch-production optical coupling processes and compact hermetic packaging, this product offers excellent full-temperature spectral stability, ultra-low spectral ripple, and extremely low full-temperature power fluctuation. It is available with SM (single-mode) or PM (polarization-maintaining) fiber pigtails. Its circular modular design allows easy integration into various sensing system frames, with strong environmental tolerance.
