
Overview
This system uses optical methods to transmit RF signals. It converts analog RF signals into optical signals through photoelectric conversion and modulates them onto a laser for long‑distance, low‑loss transmission.
The system consists of three parts: the transmitter, the optical combiner/distributor unit, and the receiver. The transmitter is located at the antenna end, converting the signals received by the antennas into optical signals for transmission. The optical combiner/distributor unit is located at the control center, combining and redistributing multiple optical signals. The receiver is located at the receiving end, converting the optical signals distributed by the combiner/distributor back into RF signals and outputting them to the radio.
The entire system uses all‑optical links for transmission, which not only optimizes antenna deployment but also solves the problem of radios being confined to the control center. It offers significant advantages including long transmission distance, wide dynamic range, and remote monitoring, making it a modern key approach for high‑quality signal transmission between the HF antennas field and the control center.
